Kate and Reese met at Indiana University and turned from friends into lovers. After doing their engagement session at The Art Institute of Chicago they planned on getting married at the beautiful Sunset Ridge Country Club. That is until a global pandemic turned their wedding plans upside down. There were talks of postponement, just going for it and everything in between. In a final, last minute call call Kate and Reese decided to try and create a backyard intimate wedding in Chicago so they could still get married when they planned to in front of their immediate families.

I don't think that anyone had the slightest idea of how incredible this wedding was going to turn out. When Kate described this wedding to us she said it would be a "simple backyard wedding and we'll host a reception later". This wedding turned out to be the backyard wedding of your dreams thanks to the incredible vendors that all pulled together to make Kate and Reese's wedding day on that they would never forget.

From the gorgeously designed The White House Farm intimate wedding venue by Robyn Loritsch to the floral and decor design by the incredible Jennifer Puisis to the catering provided by Sunset Ridge Country Club  and a beautiful cake and sweets provided by Sweet Ali's not one leaf was left unturned.

A car parade of many of the guests that were originally supposed to attend came during the small reception and celebrated, gave their warmest wishes and made Kate and Reese feel oh so special. It was the perfect way to kick off the rest of the evening of celebration.

Although dinner consisted of a small table in the middle of a living room, the couple and their families celebrated with speeches, telling stories of their childhood and relationship together. It truly was the most stunning backyard intimate wedding that will be remembered for a lifetime.
